teams. You will play an important role in supporting our clients with their daily living tasks,

Job Title: Home Support Worker
Wage: $23.00 - $24.00 per hour (Depending on Working Experience)
Working Hours: 30 hours per week (available early morning, daytime, evenings or weekends)
Terms of Employment: Full-time, Temporary
Starting Date of Employment: As Soon As Possible
Position Available: 5
Benefit: 10 business days of paid vacation or 4% vacation pay
Working Location: #300 - 3665 Kingsway, Vancouver, BC V5R 5W2
(will be working at client’s home (various cities in Metro Vancouver area, British Columbia))

Job Duties:
• Support with daily living tasks by providing bedside and personal care including bathing, assistance with mobility, dressing and undressing;
• Prepare and serve meals, accommodate special dietary needs, and help clients with feeding to ensure clients receive proper nutrition;
• Offer companionship and support for the client and families during times of incapacitation, convalescence, or family challenges;
• Assist with basic health-related tasks, such as changing non-sterile dressings, helping with medication administration, and collecting samples, under the guidance of a nurse or home care supervisor.
• Handle housekeeping and cleaning tasks such as laundry, dishwashing and bed-making if necessary.
• Observe and report any changes in clients’ health or behavior;

• Some Secondary School education is usually required;
• Home management experience is an asset but not mandatory;
• College or other courses in home support is an asset but not mandatory;
• First aid certification is an asset but not mandatory;
• Completion of a training program in care of the elderly, care of persons with disabilities,
convalescent care or in a related field is an asset but not mandatory;
• Ability to maintain a positive attitude, detail oriented and strong interpersonal skills;
• A reliable means of transportation to travel to working location is required;
• Working knowledge of English;
