Home Support Worker (NOC:4412)
I need a reliable Home Support Worker in, Surrey, BC, Canada, to take care of my elderly parents.
Anticipated Start Date (at the latest in 3 months): As soon as possible.
Wage Rate: $23 Hourly, for 40 Hours per week
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time, Weekend, Day, Evening, overtime if required.
Education: High School
Experience: Experience is an asset.
Languages: English
Benefits: Relocation costs with be covered by the employer as well as the first 3 months of medical insurance, if required.
Job Duties:
 Provide physical assistance.
 Provide personal care.
 Provide companionship.
 Assist the elderly person in personal hygiene, like bathing and bowel care.
 Assist elderly person with dressing and grooming.
 Accompany them to visit doctor or a physician appointment.
 Prepare and serve healthy and nutritious meals to elderly person.
 Perform routine housekeeping duties for elderly person such as laundry, washing dishes and making bed.
 Read newspaper or magazine to them.
 Administer bedside and personal care. Administer medications.
 Assist in regular exercise, e.g., walk.
Work Setting: The candidate should be available to work full time in the day, evening, or weekends.
Essential Skills: Working with others, Problem solving, Critical thinking, Job task planning and organizing, significant use of memory
Other Information: Candidate must be eligible to work in Canada. Position is available and open to Aboriginal persons, youth, new immigrants, and persons with disabilities.
