Job Description:
We are a private family in Burnaby , BC seeking a dedicated and compassionate Home Support Worker to provide personal care for elderly Male person (age 77 years).

Position Description and Salary

Position: Home Support Worker
Salary: $19.00 per hour
Working hours per week: 35 to 40
Type of employment: Full-Time, Permanent
Number of Positions: 1
Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible
Work Location: 2322 – Dorman Dr Burnaby V5A 3J4, BC,
Work setting: Work in the employer's home

Job Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support to an elderly person.
• Assist in personal care routines such as bathing, personal hygiene, dressing etc.
• Prepare nutritious/healthy meals and special diets and assist in feeding.
• Perform routine housekeeping duties for elderly person (e.g., laundry, washing dishes making bed, etc.).
• Maintain a safe and clean environment around the elderly person.
• Observe the elderly person for any unusual behaviours or signs that may require assistance.
• Escort to social events, parks, doctor’s and other appointments.

Job requirements-
Language: English
Education: Secondary (high) school
Experience: 6 months to 1 year of experience in a similar role or completion of the training program in care of the elderly, or in the related field.
