Home Childcare Provider Job

We are a private household in New Westminster, BC seeking a reliable and caring Home Childcare Provider to provide full-time care for our young children in our home.

Wage: $21.00 per hour (approximately CAD $38,220 per year based on 35 hours per week)

The caregiver will be responsible for creating a safe, healthy and nurturing environment that supports the children’s physical, emotional and social development.

Duties include:
• Supervising and caring for children in the employer’s home
• Assisting children with daily activities such as dressing, feeding and personal hygiene
• Preparing and serving nutritious meals and snacks
• Planning and engaging children in age-appropriate educational, recreational and outdoor activities
• Taking children to and from school, appointments and activities
• Maintaining a safe, clean and organized home environment related to childcare
• Supporting children’s emotional well-being and positive behaviour
• Communicating regularly with parents about children’s daily routines and progress

Language of work: English
Vacation pay and statutory holiday pay will be provided in accordance with the BC Employment Standards Act.

• Experience in child care or caring for young children is an asset
• Ability to work independently and responsibly
• Patience, reliability and a caring attitude
• First Aid and CPR certification is an asset
