Home Child Care Provider
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Supervising and ensuring the safety, security, and well-being of the children.
• Planning, organizing, and supervising age-appropriate educational, recreational, and cultural activities.
• Preparing and serving nutritious meals and snacks.
• Assisting with school homework, projects, and educational development.
• Accompanying the children to and from school, which is within walking distance.
• Providing transportation to extracurricular activities (such as hockey, swimming, art class, or soccer) and appointments.
• Performing light housekeeping duties related to the care of the children, including maintaining cleanliness of the children’s areas and belongings.
• Communicating regularly with parents regarding the children’s activities, health, and any concerns.
Requirements:
• 1 to 7 months of experience
• Experience with multi-aged group of children (ages 8, 11, and 13)
• Completion of secondary school
• Must be reliable and able to care for children with kindness and patience
• Valid Ontario driver’s licence to drive children to and from school, extracurricular activities and appointments
• Demonstrate good judgement and organizational skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Be available to work flexible shifts (early morning, morning, day, and evening)

• Repetitive tasks
