Home child care provider Job

We are currently seeking a compassionate and responsible Home Child Care Provider to care for children in a private home setting. The ideal candidate will ensure a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that supports the physical, emotional, and social development of the children under their care.

Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and care for children in the employer’s residence.

Plan, prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks.

Assist children with daily routines such as bathing, dressing, and toileting.

Organize activities such as games, crafts, outings, and educational play.

Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy home environment.

Tend to the emotional well-being of children and support their social development.

Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents.

Instruct children in personal hygiene and proper social behavior.

May be required to take children to and from school, appointments, or recreational activities.

Perform light housekeeping duties related to child care (e.g., laundry, cleaning play areas).

Requirements:
Completion of secondary school required.

First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).

Previous experience in child care or related field is preferred but not mandatory

Ability to speak, read, and write English fluently.

Patience, responsibility, and a nurturing attitude.

Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
