Home Child Care Provider Job

We are looking for a responsible and compassionate Child Caregiver to provide attentive and nurturing care for children in a safe and supportive environment. The ideal candidate will be patient, energetic and skilled in managing the daily needs of children which include feeding, hygiene, play and educational activities. The Child Caregiver will also be responsible for promoting social and emotional development and ensuring the overall well-being of the children under their supervision.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supervise and care for children in employer's or own residence
• Supervise and monitor the safety of the children at all times
• Plan, prepare and serve meals for children
• Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
• Oversee children's activities, such as meals and rest periods, as instructed by the parents
• Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home
• Instruct children in personal hygiene
• Tend to the emotional well-being of children and support their social development
• Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents
• Provide age-appropriate educational training through organized activities such as games, crafts, reading and outings
• Take children to and from school and appointments
• May be required to keep records of daily activities and health information regarding each child.
• Help children with homework.
• Assume full responsibility for household in the absence of parents.
• Shop for food and household supplies.
• Wash, iron and press clothing and household linens.
• Travel with family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties.
• Cook.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in caregiving or early childhood education is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Patience, empathy and genuine love for working with children.
• Ability to manage two children and tasks efficiently
