Job Position: Home Child Care Provider
Job Type: 1-Year Contract, Full-time
Hourly Wage: $20
Benefits: 10 days paid vacation per year
personal health insurance if you don’t have MSP
Work Hour: 30 hours per week (overtime may be required)
Work Location: 3349 Leston Ave, Coquitlam, BC, V3B 0H2
Language Requirement: English
We are seeking a caring and responsible Home Child Care Provider for our 6-year-old child. The ideal candidate will provide attentive care, engage in enriching activities, and ensure the child's safety.
This is a full-time position requiring 30 hours per week. Should overtime be necessary during weekday evenings or weekends, it will be compensated at a rate of $30 per hour.
Although the position is based in our home, living with us is not mandatory. We are happy to assist you in finding suitable and affordable housing in or near our community.

Job Duties:
- Provide high-quality care for the child and maintain close communication with us.
- Supervise and ensure the safety of the child.
- Plan and engage the child in age-appropriate indoor and outdoor activities.
- Read books and tell stories to support language development.
- Prepare and serve healthy meals and snacks for the child.
- Assist the child with daily routines, including dressing and hygiene.
- Organize creative play sessions to encourage learning and imagination.
- Maintain a clean and organized play area and living space.
- Provide emotional support and encourage positive behaviour.
- Monitor the child’s activities and report any concerns to parents.
- Take the child to school and appointments.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience or demonstrated ability in childcare or early childhood education is required.
- A high school diploma is preferred.
- Possession of a valid Child First Aid Certificate is an asset.
- A clear criminal record check is mandatory.
- Passion for working with children.
- Fluent in English is required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Dependable, adaptable, patient, and caring in nature.
