Job Description:
Caring Shepherd Home Care Services Inc. is seeking a compassionate and reliable Home Care Worker to provide personal care and daily living support to clients in their homes throughout the Greater Vancouver Area. The successful candidate will work independently in clients' residences and assist individuals who require support due to age, illness, or disability.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care and companionship to seniors and individuals with special needs
- Assist clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, and toileting
- Assist clients with mobility, including transferring, repositioning, and walking support
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding according to dietary requirements
- Provide medication reminders
- Perform light housekeeping duties such as laundry, dishwashing, and bed making
- Observe and report changes in clients' physical or emotional condition to the supervisor
- Follow individualized care plans and safety procedures
- Maintain accurate records and log work performed after each shift

- Completion of a college diploma or certificate in Health Care Assistant, Personal Support Worker, or a related field
- At least 7 months of relevant experience in home care or a similar caregiving role
- Ability to assist clients with mobility, including lifting and transferring (up to 23 kg / 50 lbs)
- Ability to work independently in clients' homes
- Flexible availability, including a combination of daytime, evening, early morning, weekend, and on-call shifts
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Must be able to pass a criminal record check and vulnerable sector screening
