Employment Terms: Full Time – Permanent
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Involve in all aspects of hog production such as feeding, watering and tending of animals.
2. Involve in all aspects of processing piglets such as needling, teeth clipping and tail docking.
3. Detection of disease and health problems.
4. Selection and movement of hogs of various sizes.
5. Monitoring and setting waterlines, air flow, and temperature in rooms and pens.
6. Ensuring a clean and safe environment for the animals and employees (Pressure washing).
7. Perform other related duties as necessary.
Employment Requirements:
1. Education: No specific education is required.
2. Work Experience: Previous farm work experience is an asset but not required. On-the-job training will be provided
Working Hours: 40-50 hours/week; 7am to 3pm on Monday - Friday; 7am to 12pm every other Saturday and Sunday; work schedule may vary depending on stage of production; 1.5 days off every other Saturday and Sunday
Wage: $21.50/hour
