• Position: Chef
• Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
• Wage: $32.00~$36.00/hour (depending on experience)
• Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week

• Work Location: 6-680 Trans Canada Highway, Nanaimo, BC V9S 5R1
Benefits:

Job Duties:
• Prepare and cook meals or specialty foods.
• Supervise the work of cooks and other kitchen staff.
• Demonstrate cooking staff to new techniques and equipment.
• Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food.
• Plan menus and ensure that all food meets established quality standards.
• Prepare dishes tailored to customers with food allergies or dietary restrictions.
• Manage the recruitment and hiring of kitchen staff.
• Coordinate the purchase and repair of kitchen equipment.
• Maintain records of food cost, inventory and other necessary kitchen supplies.
• Instruct cooks in food preparation, cooking techniques, garnishing, and presentation.
Job requirements:
• Experience: 2~3 years of commercial cooking experience is required
• Education: Completion of secondary school is required
• Language: English
