Hiring a new Restaurant Manager at Nori Japanese Restaurant Job

- Position: Restaurant Manager (Full-time, Permanent)
- Vacancy: 1
- Wage: $37.00 + Vacation fee (4% of gross salary)
- Work Hours: 30 hours per week
- Work location: #203-6750 Island Hwy, Nanaimo, BC V9V 1S3

++Job Duties:
- Analyze budget to boost and maintain the restaurant’s profits
- Develop budget to determine cost of food, ingredients, alcohol, kitchen and cleaning supplies
- Track revenues to control labour cost
- Monitor staff performance and recruit, train and supervise staff
- Plan and organize daily operations
- Adjust staff work schedules
- Determine type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures
- Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports and related forms
- Organize and maintain inventory
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations are followed
- Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies
- Work with clients for catering arrangements or use of facilities
- Provide quality customer service and coordinate events
- Handle and resolve customers’ complaints or concerns

++Requirements:
- Completion of a college in food service administration, hotel and restaurant management or related (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in the hospitality industry is required (Management experience is considered an asset)
- Excellent communication skills in English is required
