Hours and place where you will work as a mechanic at WM:
Monday to Friday, weekly
Start at Monday-Friday: 2:00PM-10:30PM.

The normal environment for this position is the repair and maintenance shop located at our Hagia Sophia transport site.

Every day, you'll repair the trucks and equipment that serve more than 20 million customers across North America. As a mechanic, you can be proud to see a truck roll out of the shop, knowing that your hard work is supporting your local community. Our mechanics take their careers to the next level by working on equipment that requires a high level of skill and determination. You will use modern tools and procedures to ensure exceptional maintenance of diesel equipment and our growing fleet of CNG trucks at select sites.

Inspect, diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, braking and air systems on a wide range of vehicles and equipment.
Estimate time and material costs for vehicle repairs and new parts.
Carry out your work within standard repair times.
Respond to service calls for urgent outages.
Conduct vehicle safety checks – the safety of every employee and members of our communities is our top priority
Complete required paperwork, document parts usage, and account for repair times.
Assist the senior mechanics in carrying out the work.
Review, perform or assign repairs identified in drivers' vehicle inspection reports.
Maintain a clean and safe workspace, in accordance with the standards of the company and the (CNESST) Commission des normes, de l'équité, de la santé et de la sécurité du travail, and carry out all work in compliance with established safety procedures.
What are the conditions to be considered for the position of mechanic?
3 years of relevant professional experience
A valid driver's license, with an acceptable driving record
Be over 18 years of age.
Be legally entitled to work in Canada
It is necessary to fulfill the physical demands of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
