Heavy Truck & Transport Mechanic Apprentice Job

Main duties:
• Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems including chassis, frame, cab, body, engine and drive train, air brakes, steering, and fuel, hydraulic, electrical and electronic systems
• Willingness to work outdoors during early mornings and throughout all seasons and types of weather.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, including electrical systems.
• Keep accurate records of all repairs and maintenance performed.
• Operate a variety of hand and power tools, welding equipment and diagnostic software.
• Collaborate with other mechanics and technicians to solve complex issues.
• Stay up to date with new technologies and advancements in the field of truck trailer maintenance and repair.
• All other relevant tasks

Job and Skill Requirements:
• Minimum 1 year experience as a truck and trailer technician
• Registered Truck and Trailer Service Technician with Skilled Trades Ontario
• Perform all duties outdoors and work in varying weather conditions throughout the year, as required.
