Job Duties:
Sells new and used agricultural and turf equipment to new and existing customers.
• Represents the company for the sale of machinery.
• Maintains current product knowledge on features and benefits of all equipment potentially saleable by the dealership, with an emphasis on <90hp tractors, implements & attachments as well as Turf products.
• Maintain and grow sales relationships with existing and new clients.
• Participate in required sales activities (i.e. cold calling, customer follow ups, monitoring and completing tender submissions)
• Participate in the promotion of parts, and service, products offered at the dealership.
• Monitors competitive activity/products and timely communicates to management, accordingly.
• Provide ongoing support to clients.
• Has a retail-selling emphasis (understands the sales cycle and able to implement it in timely manner to meet the retail environment)
• Complete appropriate paperwork, and sales documents, as required.
• Develop sales presentations, proposals, or other materials.
• Knows and follows a defined sales process.
• Monitors trends in customer’s business activities and timely communicates to management.
• Maintains current knowledge of financing options to assist customers with securing the purchase of new and used goods.
• Attends applicable sales training events/seminars to maintain technical product knowledge.
• Maintains current knowledge of used equipment values and ability to evaluate properly for trading purposes.
• Coordinate in-branch displays and the merchandising of equipment.
• Implements DIT process.
• Ensure all safety regulations and requirements are followed by self and others.
• Effectively practice time management, efficiently manage time and schedule.
• Work to build and maintain constructive co-worker relations, and effective and productive team dynamics.
• Participate in training programs required for the development of skills and knowledge.
• Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments.
• Maintain up-to-date and current product knowledge.

Skills Required:
• Ability to operate vehicles and equipment, valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to work flexible hours, varying shifts, weekends and holidays, if necessary.
• Ability to travel freely, within an assigned territory for business purposes if necessary.
• Knowledge of agricultural or turf equipment and farming or operational practices.
• Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions.
• Excellent customer relationship skills.
• Ability to analyze and interpret basic sales reports.
• Must be able to obtain driver’s license.

Experience Required:
• 1+ years of sales experience

Education Required:
• College Diploma or equivalent experience

Wage & Hours: $32.69 / h
• Number of hours per day: 8
• Number of days per week: 5
• Number of hours per week: 40
• Overtime starts after how many hours: 8 hours per day and 40 hours per week.
• Shift rotation: Based on the dealership operating hours and as per business needs; may include scheduled work week within Sunday-Saturday structure dependent on season. “On call” work will be required.
