Position: Heavy Equipment Operator (NOC 73400)

Minimum Education: Trade certification in Heavy Equipment Operation or equivalent.

Job Duties

- Operate yard loaders, forklifts, and container handling equipment to safely move, load, and unload shipments of packaged food products, pallets, and bulk goods within the warehouse and yard.

- Unload and stage imported goods from shipping containers and trailers; organize and stack inventory for storage and distribution.

- Conduct daily pre-operational equipment inspections; monitor equipment performance, and report maintenance needs.

- Perform routine cleaning, lubrication, and refueling of heavy equipment; assist with minor maintenance tasks to ensure safe operation.

- Operate equipment in high-volume warehouse and shipping/receiving areas to support distribution operations.

- Follow all safety protocols, WHMIS standards, and workplace health regulations to ensure compliance and a safe work environment.

- Support the logistics and warehouse team with product flow, inventory organization, and maintaining efficient yard operations.

- Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance skills in heavy equipment operation and warehouse logistics.
