Heavy Equipment Operator Job

• Effectively operate heavy equipment used in construction, i.e. excavators.
• Implement excavation procedure for foundation construction
• Be in charge of site clearance and setting out
• Make sure that safety measures are in place based on depth of excavation
• Move, load and unload various types of trucks in a cautious manner
• Communicate and work alongside the crew at a construction site
• Provide land grading which includes raising or lowering ground levels, adding or removing slopes or leveling the ground surface
• Methodically apply such processes as backfill and compaction

• Secondary school diploma
• Minimum 2 years of experience in heavy equipment operation

BENEFITS AND SALARY
• Permanent, full-time position
• $37.00 per hour for 30 hours of work per week
• Overtime pay applies after 44 hours of work per week
