About the Role:
As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic at Dumas, you will play a critical role in maintaining and repairing the fleet of heavy mining equipment that keeps our operations running safely and efficiently. You will work underground in a fast-paced setting, ensuring equipment reliability and minimizing downtime to support production goals while working safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
• Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing underground mining equipment, including jumbos, MacLean bolters, scoops, utility vehicles, and drills
• Performing preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime
• Maintaining accurate records of repairs, inspections, and parts used
• Responding promptly to equipment breakdowns and performing root cause analysis for failures
• Ensuring compliance with Dumas and site-specific safety protocols and environmental regulations
• Participating in workplace inspections and hazard assessments

Required Qualifications:
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Heavy-Duty Equipment Mechanic, required
• Valid Red Seal/Journeyman License/Certification in a Mechanic trade, required
• Valid Ontario Underground Hard Rock Miner Common Core certification, preferred
• Ability to work in physically demanding and confined environments, required
• Must demonstrate excellent safety record and commitment to safe work practices
