Type of Position: Permanent, full time
Job Duties:
• Inspect, service and maintain a diverse fleet of construction equipment including (but not limited to) earth-moving equipment, compaction equipment, and heavy equipment such as Excavators, Dozers, Articulated Dump Trucks, Wheel Loaders and Loader Backhoes.
• Perform preventative maintenance, diagnose equipment malfunctions and make required repairs.
• Test repaired equipment for proper performance.
• Maintain documentation of inspections, maintenance and work orders in a thorough and timely manner.
• Adhere to all company Health and Safety Policies.
Skills Required:
• Strong understanding of computer applications and diagnostic tools.
• Strong working knowledge of Fluid Power Systems, Engine Systems, Electrical Systems, Drive Trains, Fuel Systems.
• Flexibility; must be comfortable with managing and adapting to changing priorities in a fast-paced work environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Ability to converse in plain terms with colleagues, customers, and other parties in a professional and courteous manner.
• Self-starter and able to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
• Willingness to complete pre-access drug & alcohol testing as needed to enter certain jobsites.
• Must have a complete set of tools (or working on building a complete toolset).
• Must be willing to work overtime as required, and to work on an on-call rotation.
• Must be able to obtain class G Driver’s Licence.
Experience Required:
• Minimum 3-5 years of mechanical experience, preferably working on a variety of construction equipment.
Education Required:
• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate, vocational program or equivalent experience.
Wage & Hours: $34.07 per hour
• Number of hours per day: 8,5
• Number of days per week: 5
• Number of hours per week: 42-44
• Overtime starts after how many hours: 44/week
• Shift rotation: on-call rotation is possible
