Heavy Equipment and Dump Truck Operator Job

Adamire Concrete & Excavating, Inc. is currently seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment and Dump Truck Operator in the Port Angeles, WA, area.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

* Operate heavy equipment, including but not limited to dozers, excavators, loaders, and dump trucks, in a safe and effective manner.
* Drive and maneuver equipment equipped with blades in successive passes over working areas to remove topsoil, vegetation, and rocks, and to distribute and level earth or terrain.
* Load, unload, move, and haul dirt, rocks, debris, equipment, and materials using trucks, tractors, shovels, graders, trailers, or related equipment between the office, job sites, landfill, and/or customer locations.
* Learn, follow, and promote all safety regulations of the company and its customers.
* Understand and adhere to all policies, procedures, and standards.
* Safely and respectfully operate equipment.
* Inspect equipment before and after use to ensure optimal working condition.
* Perform daily safety and maintenance checks on equipment.
* Lubricate equipment per manufacturer recommendations and top up fluids as necessary.
* Monitor equipment performance and immediately report deficiencies.
* Communicate effectively using a 2-way radio system.
* Perform other related duties as assigned.

* Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
* Clean driving record.
* Two years of dump truck operating experience.
* Ability to understand and carry out routine oral and written instructions.
* Must have the ability to communicate clearly, listen, and understand information through spoken words and sentences to ensure full comprehension of job duties, safety regulations, and other situations that may require an immediate response.
* Organized, dependable, and able to work independently.
* Self-directed and able to take initiative to remain productive.
* Must be able to successfully pass a pre-hire drug/alcohol and criminal background investigation.
* Must comply with random drug and alcohol screens throughout employment.
