Job Description:

We are currently looking to hire an experienced Heavy-duty Equipment Mechanic, who is hard-working and trustworthy to join our crew of professionals. Please keep in mind, that this is a physically demanding position that requires body strength and resilience.
Job duties:
• Inspect and assess the performance of heavy construction equipment, including telehandlers, excavators, front-end loaders, forklifts, and telescopic man-lifts, to identify faults, malfunctions, or signs of wear.
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and structural issues using computerized diagnostic tools and other testing equipment to determine the extent of repairs required.
• Repair or replace defective parts, components, and systems, and perform necessary adjustments using hand tools, power tools, and specialized repair equipment.
• Test, operate, and evaluate repaired machinery to confirm proper performance and ensure all work complies with manufacturers’ specifications and safety standards.
• Carry out routine servicing, including cleaning, lubrication, adjustments, and preventive maintenance activities to support reliable and efficient equipment operation.
• Conduct scheduled maintenance on key components and systems and perform troubleshooting procedures as needed to prevent equipment downtime and maintain optimal functionality.
Requirements:
• Secondary school diploma.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in heavy equipment repair.
• Heavy-duty equipment technician trade certification is an asset.
• Team player and adaptable to a variety of projects and environments .
• Good knowledge of English.
Compensation and Conditions:
• Permanent, full-time position.
• $36.00 per hour, 30 hours per week.
• Occasional overtime may be required with applicable overtime pay after 44 hours of work per week.
• Work office: 3 Anderson Blvd., Uxbridge, ON, L9P 0G5. Please note that you may be asked to travel to project sites.
