Permanent Position: Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic
Company: Hap Trucking Ltd.

Wage rate: $44.00 Hourly, for 37.5 hours per week
Terms of employment: Permanent, Full Time, Overtime, Weekend, Day, Evening.
Education: High School an asset
Experience: 2-3 years of relevant experience.
Languages: English
Type of Industry Experience: Trucking.
Job duties:
• Perform repair work on trucks.
• Inspect and test mechanical units, such as engines, transmissions, axles and brake systems, to locate faults and malfunctions.
• Detection of faults using computerised and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required.
• Adjustment and repair of defective parts, components and systems using hand and power tools.
• Testing of repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers’ specifications.
• Perform other routine activities such as cleaning , lubricating and other maintenance work on equipment.
Additional skills: establish methods to meet work schedules, sanitation and safety procedures, clean and maintain tools and equipment used in work.
Work conditions and physical capabilities: Combination of sitting, standing, walking, standing for extended periods.
Essential skills: Working with others, problem solving, job task planning and organizing.
Other information: Candidate must be eligible to work in Canada.
