Job Description:
LP Custom Machining Ltd. is looking for full time Heavy CNC Machinist at 211 Barton St E Stoney Creek, ON L8E 2K3 Canada. There are 10 positions available.
Main duties and responsibilities are as follows but not limited to:
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables or study sample parts to determine machining operation to be performed, and plan best sequence of operations with CNC programming skills.
• Compute dimensions and tolerances and measure and lay out work pieces
• Set up, operate and maintain a variety of CNC machine tools to perform precision, non-repetitive machining operations such as horizontal boring mill 3-4 axis.
• Fit and assemble machined metal parts and subassemblies using hand and power tools.
• Ability to utilize measurement instruments to control product quality through manufacturing process
• Verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments
• Have experience with parts over 500lbs
Hours of work are 40 hours per week Mon-Fri (overtime paid after 44 hours). Pay is $36 per hour. Successful candidates must speak English and have completed secondary school. Minimum work experience is 3 years hands on experience.
