Combined Comfort Systems is seeking 3 full-time HVAC mechanic to join our team.
Duties and responsibilities:
• Review technical documents such as blueprints and schematics to understand system requirements and installation guidelines.
• Mark and set up reference points to guide the positioning and fitting of equipment.
• Install various HVAC components including compressors, evaporators, humidifiers, pumps, valves, gauges, controls, and motors, using both manual and power tools.
• Cut and fit pipes to the required measurements and join them using welding or brazing techniques.
• Set up, inspect, and service complete heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration systems.
• Activate systems and perform leak detection tests with specialized diagnostic tools.
• Refill systems with refrigerants, check and adjust controls, and carry out regular system maintenance.
• Diagnose problems and carry out repairs or part replacements on heating, cooling, ventilation, or heat pump systems.
• Occasionally service and install refrigeration units in transport vehicles used for perishable goods or medical items.
• May provide cost estimates and job timelines for customers based on project scope.
• Education: No specific education is required but having trades certificate or diploma in HVAC is necessary.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 or more years of relevant experience or completion of a three-to-five-year apprenticeship program OR a combination of over 3 years of work experience and industry courses in refrigeration and air conditioning repair
