Job Requirements:
Your duties and responsibilities will include the following:
- Answer call signals; supply and empty bed pans; bathe, dress and groom residents;
- Serve meal trays, feed or assist in feeding of residents and assist residents with menu selection;
- Weigh, lift, turn, and position residents; supervise residents' exercise routines, set up and provide leisure activities for residents, accompany residents on outside recreational activities and perform other duties related to resident care and comfort.
- Take residents' blood pressure, temperature and pulse; report or record fluid intake and output; observe or monitor residents' status and document resident care on charts; administer first aid in emergency situations; collect specimens such as urine, faeces or sputum
- Transport residents by wheelchair or stretcher for treatment or surgery.
- Make beds and maintain residents' rooms.
- Maintain inventory of supplies.
Requirements:
- Completion of High School
- At least 7 months of relevant working experience
- Possesses and able to carry out work with the following characteristics:
Client focus, Flexibility, Initiative, Interpersonal awareness, Judgement, Reliability, Team player
- Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.):First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate, is an asset.
- Might conduct background check
