Head of Product Operations Job

Direct, supervise, and evaluate team of product and automation operations professionals to define metrics and reporting (instrumentation), process design, internal tooling, and delivery of healthtech automation systems. (20% of time) Establish key touchpoints and define expectations for cross-functional collaboration between different teams with Product Operations Managers. (15% of time) Develop automation strategy to improve operational efficiency, and connect Product Operations Managers with appropriate technical partners to design, test, and develop automation prototypes that streamline processes and reduce manual work. (15% of time) Develop business justifications for new hires on the Product Operations team, including identifying staffing needs, preparing hiring cases, and actively participating in recruiting activities such as resume review and candidate interviews. (10% of time) Define and operationalize KPIs/SLOs/SLAs by product area with executive leadership. (10% of time) Oversee process management by ensuring that everything on the critical path of providing healthcare customers value is instrumented and measured; design and maintain the necessary insights into this data; monitor, identify, and surface notable findings. (10% of time) Prioritize the build and continued accuracy of performance dashboards; establish alerting and goals for core workflows. (5% of time) Translate processes into automation specifications; perform external vendor-evaluations and prototype automation systems and designs; measure ROI and operational impact. (5% of time) Partner with Analytics, Production Operations, Business Operations and Finance to improve forecasting inputs and capacity visibility; support scenario planning for volume spikes. (5% of time) Partner with Product Managers to roll out new features, collect feedback, and run experiments. (5% of time)

Minimum Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Mathematics, Operations Research, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience: Five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or in process design- or product operations-related role(s).

Skills: SQL; Python; data modeling and analysis; defining KPIs and building dashboards; prototyping automation architecture; designing and streamlining processes for operational rigor; process instrumentation and measurement; analytical problem-solving; forecasting and capacity planning; low-code tools including Retool, Airtable, Snowflake, Sigma, Metabase; Deep knowledge in healthcare administration including payer enrollment, licensing and credentialing systems.
