Head Hairstylist Job

Chura Hair Salon Crescendo is seeking three (3) Head Hairstylists to join the team.

Permanent, Full-time; 30-40 hours per week, with shifts scheduled between 9:00AM and 7:00PM; $36.60 per hour or 40% commission, whichever is higher. Benefits include extended health and dental, plus bonus available based on sales performance.

Shifts could be scheduled at the following locations:
1. 3309 23rd Avenue E, Vancouver, BC
2. 3605 East Hastings Street, Vancouver, BC

Duties:

• Regular hairstyling (shampoo, cut, style, colour, blow-dry, etc.);
• Hairstyling for special occasions such as weddings;
• Analyzing hair and scalp and advising on care tips;
• Give training to new employees.

Requirements:

• Must have completed an apprenticeship or college program in hairstyling plus on the job training OR have a minimum of 5 years of work experience as a Hairstylist;
• Previous experience in Japanese wedding hairstyling is an asset;
• English language ability is required;
• Japanese language ability is an asset.
