Head Cook Job

Stem Japanese Eatery is seeking a Head Cook for their Burnaby location.

Full-time, permanent; $35.00 per hour; 30-40 hours per week.

Standard 6-8 hour shifts for this position could be scheduled anytime between 2pm and 11pm as required.

Duties:
• Prepare ingredients;
• Prepare sushi and other Japanese food items (everything on the menu);
• Inspect ingredients for quality and freshness;
• Supervise all food preparation;
• Provide training to new kitchen staff on matters of hygiene, Japanese cuisine techniques, and other matters.

Requirements:
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a commercial cook;
• English language ability required;
• Japanese language ability is an asset.
