Head Chef Job

Main duties:
• Plan and direct daily food preparation and cooking activities for the restaurant.
• Prepare and cook specialty Hakka dishes for while maintaining high standards of quality and authenticity.
• Develop and update menus aligned with customer demand, catering offerings, and seasonal ingredients.
• Estimate food requirements and manage inventory.
• Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, including cooks and food service team members.
• Recruit, train, and schedule kitchen staff as required.
• Ensure food safety, sanitation, and quality standards are consistently met.
• Maintain kitchen inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment.
• All other relevant tasks

Job and Skill Requirements:
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience particularly as a chef in commercial food/restaurant setting is required.
• Culinary school, college or education or equivalent is required.
• Experience in Hakka cuisine and cooking techniques is preferred.
• Criminal record check will be required.
