Position: Head Chef (International Fusion Foods)
Wages: CAD$28.00-38.00/hour (depending on experiences)
Types: Full-time, Permanent
Working hours: 30-40 hours/week
Benefits: 4% of vacation pay
Job Duties:
• Plan and direct food preparation and cooking activities
• Supervise activities of chefs/sous-chef and cooks
• Consult with clients for banquets and special events
• Plan menus and ensure all dishes meet established quality standards
• Estimate food requirements and may estimate food and labour costs
• Arrange the purchase and maintenance of kitchen equipment
• Recruit and hire staff
• May prepare and cook meals regularly or for special guests or events.
Job Requirements:
• Completion of secondary school;
• Minimum 3 years of experience in commercial food preparation including two years in a supervisory capacity and experience as a chef
• Cook's trade certification an asset
