Head Cashier Job

Lorne Street Bottle Depot is located at 270 Halston Road, Kamloops, BC V2H 1N6. We are currently looking for a permanent, full time Head Cashier. If you are interested, please submit your resume by e-mail or mail.

Position: Head Cashier
Wage: CAD$22.91/hour
Types: Full-time, Permanent (availability to work weekends is considered an asset)
Working hours: 30~ 40 hours/week
Benefits: 4% of vacation pay

Job Duties:
• Supervise and coordinate cashiers;
• Assign staff to duties and prepare work schedules;
• Authorize payments by cheque and the return of merchandise;
• Tally up sales totals at the end of the day;
• Prepare reports on incoming and outgoing cash, debit, and credit transactions;
• Provide change for cashers and ensure each till is supplied with enough money for shifts;
• Make sure that the store is well-staffed during busy periods to avoid long wait times for customers;
• Resolve problems that arise;
• Train new cashiers.

Job Requirements:
• Completion of secondary school is required;
• 2-3 years of experience in retail sales is required.
