We are seeking an experienced and skilled Head Butcher. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of meat preparation, strong leadership abilities, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
-Oversee the daily operations of the butcher department, ensuring efficient workflow and consistent adherence to Olive Branch’s quality and kosher standards.
-Cut, trim, debone, and prepare specialty kosher meat cuts with precision and care.
-Manage inventory by monitoring stock levels, placing orders, inspecting deliveries, and minimizing waste to ensure product freshness and accuracy.
-Ensure full compliance with HACCP, CFIA, and internal kashrut requirements, maintaining the highest levels of food safety and religious observance.
-Train, mentor, and supervise junior butchers and meat cutters, fostering a skilled, collaborative, and service-driven team.
-Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment, ensuring all equipment and tools meet hygiene and safety standards.
-Collaborate with senior management to implement strategies aimed at boosting sales, improving efficiency, and enhancing customer satisfaction.

Job Requirements:
- 2 to 3 years of experience as a butcher.
-Experience in a supervisory role is an asset.
-Completion of secondary school (preferred).
-Comprehensive knowledge of meat cuts, preparation methods, and food safety regulations.
-Strong leadership and team management skills.
-Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
-Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects.
-Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required.
