Location: Unit 120- 6 Primrose Street, Dartmouth, NS B3A 4C5
Work location: On-site only
Salary: $30.00 per hour
Hours: 30 to 35 hours per week
Terms of employment: Permanent employment, Full time, non-seasonal
Start Date: As soon as possible

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
On site-
Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.
Work setting-
Butcher shop
Job Responsibilities-
Clean meats to prepare for processing or cutting;
Cut carcasses, sides and quarters;
Prepare special cuts of meat ordered by customers;
Cut, trim, bone and portion meat into standard and custom cuts;
Package meat products securely for sale, ensuring correct weight, pricing, labelling, and shelf life information;
Weigh meat for sale and Price meat products;
Sell meat products to customers with attention to quality and freshness;
Supervise other butchers/meat cutters when the owner is absent;
Grind meats;
Slice cooked meats and prepare specialty products such as sausages and tied roasts;
Prepare special displays of meats;
Ensure clean and safe handling of meat in accordance with food safety standards;
Maintain inventory and keep records of sales.
