Position Details
• Location: Acton, ON L7J 2M1
• Work Location: On site
• Salary: $18.00 per hour/ 40-hour work week
• Employment Terms: Permanent, full-time
• Start Date: As soon as possible
• Vacancies: 20 positions available
Overview
• Language: English
• Education: No degree, certificate or diploma required
• Experience: Experience is considered an asset
• Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Hand-eye co-ordination, attention to detail, standing for extended periods, bending, crouching and kneeling required
Responsibilities
• Clean the crops
• Clear and collect brush and debris from fields, pens and other work areas
• Plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops
• Weeding
• Clean work area
• Fertilize and spray crops
• Harvest crops
• Load, unload, and transfer crates, supplies, farm produce, livestock and poultry
• Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
• Detect disease and health problems in crops, livestock and poultry
• Examine products for quality and readiness for the market
