Job Description:
Blue Vision Farm, located in Abbotsford, British Columbia BC is looking to hire 6 Farm Labourers.
The work location is 34727 Hallert Rd, Abbotsford, BC, V3G 1R3.
The farm labourers will perform the following duties:
• Prepare land for planting
• Prune beginning after leaf drop
• Remove diseased and dead wood
• Irrigate plants as directed
• Incorporate sawdust or compost in planting beds as directed
• Flush irrigation systems and sprayers to protect against winter damage
• Store harvested crops as directed
• Report to and follow the directions of the farm Supervisor.
• Plant, cultivate and harvest blueberries
• Maintain, clean and store farm tools after use
• Other general farm duties as assigned.
Wages: $17.48/hr
I am not asking for education, previous experience or language. I will train. Basic English is an asset, but not necessary.
Other Requirement:
• Heavy lifting required.
• Ability to work long hours, early mornings and weekends is required.
• Ability to work outdoors in ALL weather conditions.
• The ability to speak basic English is an asset.
This is a physically demanding outdoor job so the farm labourers will be exposed to various weather conditions.
