Job Description:
Location: Paeonian Springs, VA
1. Participate in designing new products and processes and improving and maintainingexisting products.
2. Participate in the analysis and troubleshooting of returned hardware products toidentify defects and failure modes.
3. Collaborate with design and engineering teams to develop solutions for hardware issuesbased on RMA feedback.
4. Create detailed reports documenting the analysis of returned products, including failureanalysis and corrective actions.
5. Support the improvement of existing products by providing insights from RMA data toenhance reliability and performance.
6. Coordinate with production teams to ensure effective handling and processing ofreturned merchandise.
7. Develop and maintain technical documentation related to RMA processes, includingguidelines for repairs and returns.
8. Engage with suppliers and manufacturers to address recurring issues and implementquality improvements.
9. Conduct root cause analysis to determine the underlying issues of hardware failures,using statistical tools and methodologies.
10. Train and guide junior engineers and staff on RMA processes and best practices forhardware troubleshooting.
11. Stay updated on industry trends and technologies to inform RMA strategies andimprove product quality.

Job Requirements:
1. Minimum Bachelors in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field(foreign equivalent acceptable).
2. 5+ years of experience in hardware engineering with a focus on returns managementand quality assurance.
3. Strong knowledge of product lifecycle management and quality management standards(ISO900 family).
4. Proficiency in diagnostic tools and techniques for hardware failure analysis.
5. Experience with Altium for PCB design and layout.
6. Skill and experience in soldering BGA and SMD components of all types.
7. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical informationclearly to non-technical stakeholders.
8. Experience working in a cross-functional team environment, collaborating withengineers, production, and customer support teams.
