Handyman Job

Private Family located in Westhampton Beach, NY is seeking a Live Out, Handyman.

Full-Time or Part Time available.

Hours: Typically fall between 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Scheduled days will typically fall between Monday and Friday*.

*Must have schedule flexibility to work weekends from May through August for the summer season.

Responsibilities:

• Full charge of both the outside and inside of the home.
• Maintain the cleanliness, functionality and presentation of the property. All areas must be clean, organized, well-lit, and well-maintained
• Perform troubleshooting and minor and major repairs in a variety of tasks (ex. painting, spackling, drywall repair, basic plumbing and electrical, carpentry, tile work, etc. as well as routine tasks such as replacing light bulbs and cleaning windows.
• Assist with moving furniture and any equipment set up needed for dinners, parties, or other events.
• Manage inventory of all equipment and maintenance supplies
• Purchase necessary replacement parts and supplies as needed
• Observe all safety practices and procedures.

Salary commensurate with experience.

Minimum 10 years’ experience as a Handyman
Attention to detail and quality
Able to work independently
Must be proactive to perform regular maintenance upkeep rather than wait until something breaks
Strong communication skills
Strong multi-tasking and time management skills
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment
Ability to adapt to last-minute changes
Must be able to take constructive feedback
Must be able to follow the family’s instruction
Minimum 3 years’ experience working for high net-worth, private family preferred
Discretion in all confidential matters

Position is performed standing
Position requires bending, lifting, kneeling, and crouching
Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
