Maintain building interiors through tasks such as painting, carpentry, drywall repair, and flooring work to uphold aesthetic standards.
Repair and maintain facilities equipment including electrical fixtures, plumbing systems, HVAC units, and other mechanical components.
Inspect properties regularly to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards; document findings and prioritize repairs accordingly.
Manage plumbing system maintenance and repairs; address leaks, clogs, or pipe replacements promptly.
Ensure all work complies with safety standards and building codes while providing excellent customer service to residents or tenants.
Lead small teams or coordinate with contractors for specialized repairs like welding or electrical work when necessary.
Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, schematics, repair logs, and safety inspections for accountability and future planning.
Skills
Extensive knowledge of electrical systems including electrical equipment repair and electrical work fundamentals.
Proficiency with plumbing system maintenance and repair techniques.
Mechanical knowledge related to HVAC systems including repair and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams for complex systems such as programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
Skilled in carpentry, painting (including residential painting), drywall repair, and general handyman tasks using hand tools.
Experience with facilities maintenance operations (MRO) — managing tools, supplies, and equipment needed for daily tasks.
Strong understanding of building interior maintenance standards along with facilities equipment upkeep.
