Job Description:
The Designer's Zone is located at #110-5172 Kingsway, Burnaby, BC V5H 2E8. We are currently looking for a full time Hairstylist. If you are interested, please submit your resume by e-mail.
Position: Hairstylist
Wages: CAD$25.00/hour
Types: Full-time, Permanent
Working hours: 30- 40 hours/week
Benefits: 4% of vacation pay, Tips
Job Duties:
• Discuss with clients on style options for their hair based on their physical features;
• Suggest hairstyles compatible with clients’ physical features, or determine from clients’ instructions or preferences
• Cut, trim, taper, curl, wave, perm, and style hairs;
• Apply bleach, tints, dyes or rinses to color, frost, streak/highlight hair;
• Perform scalp treatments based on the clients’ hair and scalp conditions;
• Recommend hair care retail products to the clients;
• Train staff/helpers if necessary.
Job Requirements:
• Completion of secondary school;
• Completion of a one- or two-year hairstyling apprenticeship program or completion of a college or other program in hairstyling combined with on-the-job training or 2- 3 years of work experience.
