• Hairdresser Specific Skills, Key Duties and Responsibilities:

- Apply bleach, tints, dyes or rinses to colour, frost or streak hair
- Analyze hair and scalp condition and provide basic treatment or advice on beauty care treatments for scalp and hair
- Suggest hair style compatible with client's physical features or determine style from client's instructions and preferences
- Cut, trim, taper, curl, wave, perm and style hair
- Apply hair extensions
- Shampoo customers' hair
- Perform receptionist duties
- Maintain and order supplies

• Hair Styling Techniques: Blow drying, Iron waving/curling, Permanents, Extensions, Roller setting
• Work Setting: Hairstyling salon/studio • Credentials (certificates, licenses, memberships, courses, etc.): Hairstylist License

• Education: Secondary (high) school

• Experience: 1 year of related hairstylist experience is required

• Flexible work hours: Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend

• Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation, public transportation is available • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Attention to detail, Standing for extended periods • Personal Suitability: Reliability, Flexibility, Client focus
