Hair Salon Manager Job

Maya Hair Salon is currently looking for a permanent and full-time Hair Salon Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the hairdressing salon operations
• Establish or implement policies and procedures for hairdressing salon staff
• Plan and control budget and inventory
• Respond to inquiries or complaints and resolve problems
• Manage contracts for advertising or marketing strategies
• Hire, train and supervise staff
• Train and educate salon staff on Japanese/Asian hairstyling and hairdressing technique, for example but not limited to, Japanese straightening, Digital perm, Chemical theory behind it, and etc.
• Maintain and order supplies/hair products from Japan

Compensation:
$36.00 hour + tips, 4% vacation pay

Education, Skills and Experiences:
• A college diploma or vocational certificate - hairstyling, hairdressing or related field
• Two or more years of experience as a hairstylist or hairdresser
• Up-to-date knowledge of Japanese/Asian hair style trend and technique is strong asset
