Hair Colour Technician Job

Position: Hair Colour Technician
Wage: CAD$30.00/hour
Types: Full-time, Permanent
Working hours: 30- 40 hours/week
Benefits: 10 days paid vacation per year, Sales benefit

Job Duties:
• Perform color consultations and take detailed notes about clients’ hair color goals and processing history
• Help clients to select the right hair color and advise them on different coloring options
• Cut, trim, taper, curl, wave, perm, and style hairs
• Apply bleach, tints, dyes or rinses to color, frost, highlight/lowlight hair
• Blend own colors or apply the correct color dyes from the selection
• Use coloring techniques for a variety of hair textures
• Promote to clients by recommending various products and salon services
• Train staff/helpers if necessary

Job Requirements:
• Completion of secondary school;
• Completion of a two- or three-year hairstyling apprenticeship program or completion of a college or other program in hairstyling combined with on-the-job training or 2- 3 years of work experience.
