Duties:

• Maintaining the facilities and farm infrastructure including mucking stalls and cleaning stables
• Turning horses in and out of paddocks
• Grooming, brushing, and washing horses
• Tacking up and blanketing horses
• Operating farm machinery and equipment, including a tractor, dumping manure, and taking horses on and off a treadmill
• Providing general care of horses and observing for any health problems or concerns
• Feeding and tending to horses
• Set and monitor water lines, air flow and temperature in the barn

Requirements:

• 1+ years of experience grooming, feeding, and providing care for horses with the ability to recognize illnesses
• Previous experience tacking horses
• Ability to take direction as to exercise and programs for individual horses
• Ability to operate a tractor, dump manure, and take horses on and off a treadmill
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are required, with the ability to understand written and verbal instructions from veterinarians for horse after care
