Salary and Benefits
Salary: $17.50 per hour
Vacation Pay, Paid Sick Leave
Stable & full-time employment
Job Responsibilities
• Prepare soil; assist and expedite the entire grow process from seed to the harvesting and shipment of fully grown packaged salad greens.
• Plant care including weeding, watering, fertilizing, spraying etc.
• Clean and sanitize all working areas and trays.
• Observe all food safety and health and safety protocols.
• Help in the seeding, transplantation and harvesting of the produce.
• Conduct daily maintenance checks in accordance with prescribed Operating Procedures.
• Prepare boxes, pack and weigh product, complete production forms and ready the boxes for shipment.
• Pack product in a cold room maintained at 4 degrees centigrade
• Operate equipment as required.
• Load/Unload trays
• Clean-up prior to vacating any work area.
Job Requirements
• No experience required; we will train.
• No education and language requirements.
• Ability to work long hours in a cold room.
• Standing/bending for long periods in a humid greenhouse environment.
