Wage Rate: $21.00 per hour, 40 hours per week.

Education: No education requirement. Completion of secondary school will be an asset.

Job Duties:

Hand harvesting vegetables
Mixing fertilizer
Write daily basic progress reports
Spray or dust plants with insecticides and fungicides
Mix and prepare soils
Plant bulbs and seeds
Transplant seedlings or rooted cuttings
Apply fertilizers
Report signs of insect or disease damage
Clean the crops
Clear and collect brush and debris from fields and other work areas
Consider water saturation, light and temperature when planning for germination
Dig up wrapping rootballs of trees and shrubs
Water and tend to plants, lawns and/or gardens
Training and capacity building of staff
Planning work and task schedules
Managing inventory supplies (e.g., seeds, fertilizers, etc.)
Greenhouse cleaning

Working Conditions:
Work in wet, damp, hot/cold environments
Work indoors and outdoors.
Heavy workloads, stand, bend, crouch and kneel.
Job is physically demanding, ability to lift 50lbs is an asset.
