Graphic Designer Job

With in-house production capabilities, we also design and produce custom and standard signage that meets fire and building codes and workplace safety regulations. At this time, we are looking for a hardworking, creative, and dedicated Graphic Designer to join our team at Safety Media. The ideal candidate will be responsible for producing graphic art and visual materials that effectively communicate safety information and branding for custom signage, ensuring clarity and compliance with industry standards.

The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:

• Design custom signage, including traffic signs, safety equipment displays, and digital print media, in alignment with client specifications and brand guidelines.
• Develop graphic elements such as logos, icons, and illustrations for use in signage projects, ensuring clarity and effective visual communication.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and translate concepts into visual designs and mock-ups for signage.
• Use design software like Adobe Creative Suite to create layouts and visuals for print and digital display applications.
• Prepare pre-press files by adjusting colour profiles, resolution, and formats to ensure print-ready designs.
• Ensure all designs comply with safety regulations and standards, particularly for industrial and traffic signage.
• Maintain and update the company's design portfolio, contributing to Safety Media’s branding and marketing through creative visual content.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• A university degree or college degree in visual arts with specialization in graphic design, commercial art, graphic communications
• Please provide a portfolio of work

COMPENSATION & CONDITIONS:

• Permanent, full-time position
• 30 to 35-hour work week
• $33.65 to $35.00 per hour with applicable overtime pay after 44 hours of work per week
