Job Description:
We, Nuwavez Cabinet Industry Corporation, are looking for a passionate candidate for the position of full-time Graphic Designer.
Position: Graphic Designer (NOC 52120)
Terms of Employment: Full-time (30 to 40 hours per week), Morning, Day
Hourly Wage: $28.00-30.00
Expected Start Date: As soon as possible
Work Location: 110, 2620 Centre Ave NE, Calgary, AB T2A 2L3
Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to:
• Meeting with clients to ascertain the intended functions and appearance of each space.
• Going to potential jobsites to take measurements and suggest design solutions.
• Anticipating and informing clients of additional features which may be of use to them.
• Giving careful consideration to the placement of water and electrical systems to ensure safety.
• Creating a plan (via software) which details the layout and appearance of all installations and loose furniture.
• Suggesting appropriate materials and finishes.
• Assisting clients to select and supervise the work of independent contractors, so that their duties are conducted in accordance with clients' visions.
• Informing clients about appropriate care for the cabinets
• Accurate recordkeeping, billing responsibilities, organizational skills
• Observing prescribed building and safety regulations.
Position Requirements and Qualifications:
• A College diploma in graphic arts
• 1-7 months of proven work experience or training in multimedia design
• Efficient interpersonal skills; Client focus; Team player
• Basic security clearance
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
Work under pressure; Attention to detail; Tight deadlines; Ability to distinguish between colors
