About Women of Faith & Hope: Women of Faith & Hope is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering women in the Germantown neighborhood of Philadelphia, particularly those affected by breast cancer. Our mission is to encourage, enlighten, and empower women by providing education on issues related to breast cancer, promoting early detection to reduce mortality rates, and offering spiritual and emotional support to women and their loved ones. We strive to create a community where women feel supported, informed, and empowered throughout their journey with breast cancer.

Responsibilities:
* Research potential funding opportunities from various sources, including government agencies, foundations, and corporations.
* Write compelling grant proposals and applications tailored to the requirements of each funding opportunity.
* Submit grant proposals according to deadlines and requirements.
* Track and manage the progress of grant applications and reporting deadlines.
* Prepare and submit timely and accurate grant reports to funders.
* Collaborate closely with the director to align grant proposals with organizational goals and priorities.
* Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with funders and stakeholders.

Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
* Minimum of 2 years of experience in grant writing with a proven track record of success.
* Strong writing and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
* Excellent research skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines effectively.
* Knowledge of fundraising principles and best practices.
* Commitment to the mission and values of Women of Faith & Hope.

Hours and Pay:
The grant writer will determine their hourly rate and available hours per week in consultation with the director. This position offers flexible hours and the opportunity to work remotely.

Education and Experience:
* Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
* Minimum of 2 years of experience in grant writing.
* Some educational experience related to grant writing or fundraising is preferred.
