Governance Analyst Job

Job Summary:
Seeking a Data Governance Analyst to support agency-wide data governance by operationalizing policies/SOPs, maintaining metadata and Dataset Reference Sheets, governing critical data elements, and coordinating centralized data sharing and access governance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Intake, triage, and route data requests; maintain audit trails and SLA tracking
• Maintain metadata, catalog fields, and Dataset Reference Sheets
• Author data quality rules and resolve data quality issues
• Draft and operationalize governance policies, SOPs, and decision records
• Develop and deliver data literacy/stewardship training
• Collaborate with data owners and stakeholders; report KPIs to leadership
Required Skills & Certifications:
• 2+ years’ experience with Informatica Enterprise Data Catalog or similar
• 2+ years relationship management across divisions
• 3+ years project oversight and decision-making skills
• 4+ years critical thinking, time management, and communication skills
• 4+ years of proficiency with Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
• Experience with data lineage tools and methods
• Understanding of the data analysis life cycle in business settings
• Strong trust-building and team cooperation skills
