Job Description:
Responsibilities:
- Determine the type of glass, frames, and materials required for each project.
- Measure, mark, cut, and assemble glass and glass products.
- Install and repair glass doors, windows, mirrors, and other glass structures.
- Install aluminum storefronts, solariums, display cases, and interior glass partitions.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Work at heights using scaffolding, cranes, or man-lifts as required.
- Assemble and dismantle scaffolding, rigging, and hoisting equipment safely.
Experience and Specialization
- 2 years to less than 3 years of related experience.
- Skilled in glass cutting (self-lubricating and circular cutters), bending, edging, laminating, painting, tempering, and tinting glass.
- Experience with stained glass, aluminum storefronts, and commercial glazing systems.
Requirements
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
- Physically fit to handle heavy loads, stand for extended periods, bend, crouch, and kneel.
- Must own steel-toed safety boots.
